A SECOND REFERENDUM ON THE DEAL - IT IS NOT TOO LATE

Sue Harris Brexit March ()

Probably like a lot of other people my interest in politics has grown since the EU referendum and I came to the realisation that I had to do something to try and keep the UK in the EU.

If there is not going to be a second referendum on membership the public certainly need to have the opportunity to vote on "the deal", and it is also important that the referendum has clear parameters and includes 16 and 17 year olds (as it is their future too after all).

Clearly the reasons that underlie why people voted the leave the EU must not be ignored and these have to be explored and steps taken to try and resolve them, rather than telling people that they are ignorant or racist for having the concerns that they have.

I will continue to attend demonstrations / marches with others who agree with my view that there should a second referendum on the deal and do anything else I can. I passionately believe that when we know the terms of the possible deal we all should be able to decide whether in fact the best thing for the country and the population as a whole is to leave the EU, or whether in fact (as I believe) the UK is stronger, safer and more prosperous within the EU.
